Metal Brayn
США
Добавлен 14 авг 2011
I'll call this channel a lil hidden gem on YT that captures and teaches how to play the best heavy metal and thrash metal music on guitar. Throw all those old tab books away... they are such misleading trash that RUINED my childhood! Not really, but they really ended up discouraging me from playing many of these songs not only the wrong way, but the most painfully challenging way possible. Just come here, watch, learn, and PRACTICE!.

Fun to play over and over again... couple different ways to play this song, but it's easy to learn because it just repeats itself. Learn this one and you can tell your friends you know a Megadeth song on bass from start to finishT

Well I had to complete my Rust In Peace guitar covers playlist so... hence the bass guitar. Not my usual instrument, but had to learn this song, and I was right because I knew it would be so much fun to play.

Classic aggressive, non-stop picking Mustaine here... This song doesn't stop. Its a great song to add to the end of your warm up sessions... both hands will be plenty warm if you are keeping up to speed. One of the funnest riffs ever thrown in towards the end too... of course its a version of the Holy Wars riff, so you can't go wrong. Highly recommended song to learn to improve your accuracy an...

Looking for a good picking hand warm up song?? Sign up for this one... non-stop alt picking from start to finish. Lots of fun to play... definitely tricky to stay accurate throughout the whole thing, but a fun challenge. Love how complex yet simple this song is... wish I learned this one earlier in my guitar playing years... truly a great warm up song and great song in general to know how to play!

Iron Maiden Powerslave Rhythm Guitar Lesson

I know this is mostly a thrash metal channel... but I had to go to Maiden at least once. This song has always been on my list to get to. Nice and simple compared to lots of the other vids I've posted, but brilliant nonetheless. A good band to start with if you want to learn thrash. Up the Irons!

Been jonesing to do this song for years... finally satisfied with my thrash catalog of songs and skillset to get to the Gods of Heavy Metal - Iron Maiden! This song has a bit of everything... great riffage, to great harmonies, to great solos. I did the Dave Murray line on this one because... its the best line to take in this song. Period. The mid solo he does is one of my all time favorites... ...

Lots of fun to learn! A great exercise in palm muting and timing mixed in with some incredibly fun riffs. I love what this band can do to a song... any song... whether its theirs or not.

Been meaning to get to this one for a loooooong time. When I first got into Metallica, I had Ride The Lightning and Garage Days for a good few months. I didnt know this album was cover tunes for the longest time. Anyway, this song kicks ass and is filled with palm mutes and ring-finger riffs. Lots of fun!

This one is a doozy! Lots of fun and probably my favorite song on the album... especially after learning it. Great chord progressions throughout this song with fun lil transitions. I only show the beginning of the solo in the middle of the song... the fun part of course. So dont yell at me for not completing it. Anyway, if you are only going to learn one song from this album learn this one!

Eh bro, what is that model? Nice Guitar and dittohead is amazing man.
Nice bro. Love playing this song the rythms are tight vintage style megadeth. Im learning Killing Time.
thank you sooooooo much for taking the time to tune correctly (for the album at least) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have the best Slayer videos anywhere!! Any chance you could do a video for Residue by Kerry King? 🤟🏻
so fuckin bad.. your explanation in the different times are different of the same pieces of the song...

Very good lessons. I would never be able to figure these stupid fckn riffs by myself.
@@rohannidhitiwari9365 These riffs are beyond stupid. And awesome
@@metalbryan101could you do these boots as well please? The remastered one.
@@rohannidhitiwari9365 sorry my friend. No desire
@@metalbryan101 no worries mate. Once i learn all the stuff that you have put out. I should be able to do that by myself. Haha thanks
Yeah i think i will stick with the "easier" songs like peace sells and symphony of destruction lol. Thats beyond my capabilities 😢
I know it’s been awhile man but I would love to hear you cover any death song got a few favorites for sure
He is afraid of what? the guitar is too far
Keep it up man come back and do some more you're one of the best teachers there is
Metal Zone is my favorite 🤩 if you have a half stack and run it through the back of the amp it sounds crazy good if I remember correctly a lot of folks cut on that pedal but don’t know how to use it , BOSS pedals are awesome 😎 good deal dude sounds good 👌🎸
Fuckin amazing... You sir, are an inspiration. I aspire to play these songs as well as you. Thank you for all of the lessons.
I'm almost there. Still having trouble transitioning in to the tricky riff at 10:14 AND getting the timing right. I can play the riff perfectly all day long though, I just can't transition into it smoothly enough from the riff before it. The other part I'm still having a bit of trouble with is at the end at 22:41, but that's sort of the last riff that I'm learning too, so I think it's just more practice needed here. But that tricky one? GODDAMMIT!!! lol
@@TheMadArab138 good to hear you’re getting there. Just don’t let the speed distract you. Play the riff as purely as you can and as slowly as you need to. Practice like that and like magic… the speed will come!
@@metalbryan101 Thanks, brother. You’re gonna teach me the whole damn album, ya know. Haha 🤣
not even gonna try to learn this
that riff slaps so hard
Ram it down , Judas priest , guitar solo , request bro
I'm pretty sure this is the first video that ever showed how to play the rhythm section right on youtube.
@@standepain thank you🤘😤🤘
@@metalbryan101 Didn't you used to have a lesson on this where you just played it slow and didn't talk?
@@standepain yes - my earliest videos I was silent. I hate talking should have stuck to that
@@metalbryan101 I thought so. I've said it years ago that you have the best lessons on here. Either way works but telling us what your doing is always the best.

doing the (dark) lord's work, my fiend. slayer rhythm lessons are what's needed in this world, not the stupid, tone-deaf leads.
bro's playing it wrong on purpose and he knows it so who cares!! but the more impressive thing is that he actually pulled it off at that stupid speed!! xD

52 and just pick up my guitar after about 25 years. Using this song to get back into it. Gonna take time and practice.
Gonna take time to get rust off those chops, but you’re 90% there with the desire to do so!
cryptic writings has a lot of beatles influences. once you hear them, you can't unhear them.
Exactly! Perfect bro! Note for note ! Finally just the hands and music I love it! I’m gonna play this right now. This whole album is just awesome. Thank you so much for the great videos.
Almost correct. Theres no 0-0 before the stabs at F. Its same rhythm gallop. Kerry calls it the 1-5 gallop … 0-0000-0 repeat then F-000- F-000 B-Bflat … 👍I mean what your doing works but thats not how Kerry plays it. Good job bro! Awesome.
I only need to see him play it but he stops and keeps talking to explain it.., I need no explaining… just play it, I have no patience to listen to anyone talk. I understand you’re trying to tech beginners. But advance players only need to watch.

I watched your epidemic song by slayer and I’m seen and hearing different from the tablet or I have the cherry Lane music books the thing you’re doing before the F you have everything perfect what you’re doing sounds great but I think I’m hearing a stop before the I don’t know all I know is that I love your videos, man
@@metalfreak9386 one of the challenges with anything off of Reign in Blood is that the two guitars are not always playing the same thing … when they should be. Subtle mistakes throughout that album … really adds to the chaos of that album!

Hey my friend! I don't know if you remember me or not (either is cool), but Im a constant watcher and a sometimes commenter. And once again, I have to give some form of digital props to you for this. Randy Rhoades was one of my favorite guitarist, a man who's leads could, and still do, stop me in my tracks, make me cock my head, and stare off into space like a hypnotized deer in traffic...with chill bumps. so, I take my RR seriously. Man, tab or not, you so nail the essence, the very language, that music and guitar riffs speak in. And you made a crusty old shit like me smile. A real one. I haven't experienced that sensation in quite a while,so thank you for that as well. You truly are one of the greats of the shredding genre.
Thank you so much for this! Nothing is more fun to me than playing like my idols. And the fact that anyone can experience joy when I do it is a bonus!🤘😃🤘Rock on brother!!
@@metalbryan101 please know, I don't just candy undeserving asses readily. I'm a late 80s and On Rocktard of some note as well. So I'm not some green eared rube running around with fan crushed. I've done shows with everybody from king diamond, nuclear assault, sacred Reich, fear factory, fang. When I gush, it comes honestly and with much reverence. You are excellent, my friend. Keep the faith and roll to the guitar bite!
